Roeser's Bakery, creating cakes since 1911, has baked literally tens of thousands of wedding cakes. We specialize in unique custom confectionary having baked for Chicago corporations and media since the dawn of television and the golden age of radio. Roeser's bakes incredible cakes for birthdays, first communions, baptisms, bachelorette parties, and rehearsal dinners. We also offer specialty tortes, and extraordinary cakes you cannot imagine until you taste the pages just beneath this introduction. We also create portrait cakes reproducing your photographs on cake tops using our high tech computer imaging system or hand renderings by our resident artist. Just click on portrait cakes, above. All of our special occasion cakes are available in hot milk sponge cake or rich chocolate buttermilk devils food cake. They can be iced in either whipped cream, buttercream, chocolate butter cream or fudge. Some Cake Options Whipped cream cakes are 2 layers cake and one layer of filling. Buttercream cakes are 3 layers of cake and 2 layers of filling. Round cakes may be yellow sponge, devils food, or a layer of each. Sheet cakes may be yellow sponge, devils food, a layer of each, or a side by side combination. Cake fillings may be either layered or side by side. Filling Choices Include Fresh strawberries, fresh bananas, real milk custard, home cooked raspberry, pineapple or appricot preserves, guayaba, fudge, chocolate, buttercream, vanilla buttercream, chocolate whipped cream, plain whipped cream, or cherries.
